A new mobile phone and vape shop is set to open on Stanmore Broadway, taking over the unit previously occupied by Stanmore Luggage.
The luggage shop, which had been part of the community for more than 20 years, recently closed up for good to the disappointment of many in the community.
One local resident said via The Stanmore Society Group on Facebook: “I’ve been going there for over 20 years, a really nice chap, really good at what he does.
“Now if anyone needs a good cobbler, the one in Belmont Circle has been recommend, but he only opens on certain days in the morning.”
It’s not yet confirmed when the new store will open, but the former luggage shop will be missed, especially by those who relied on its shoe repair service.
The new shop is located next to Sainsbury’s and Cafe Nero at 49 Stanmore Broadway.
