A new amnesty bin for ninja swords has been installed in Brent following a recent ban on the weapons across the UK.
The bin, located at Willesden Community Gardens in Denzil Road near The College of North West London, is funded by the Home Office and adds to seven other knife amnesty bins already in place across Brent.
It has been designed with a special chute to take larger weapons such as ninja swords and machetes, while a separate slot is available for standard knives. The aim is to give people a safe and anonymous way to dispose of weapons.

Councillor Harbi Farah, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, Jobs and Skills, said: “This new bin provides residents with a safe and discreet way to surrender dangerous and now-illegal weapons. If you or someone you know is in possession of a ninja sword, please take this opportunity to dispose of it responsibly. Every weapon taken off the streets helps make our community safer.”
Anyone needing to take a weapon to an amnesty bin is advised to wrap it securely in several layers of cardboard or thick paper, cover any sharp edges, and seal it tightly with strong tape before transporting it.
All bins are designed for anonymous disposal.
