Police in Watford have have released CCTV footage as part of their investigation into a suspected arson in the area.
A stationary Hyundai car was set alight in Whippendell Road, just after 5.20am on Tuesday 15 July.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said, “Officers are keen to identify two people seen in CCTV footage taken from the area around the time of the incident, as they believe they may have information that could assist their enquiries.”
PC Talisha Jobanputra, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully no one was injured during the incident, but our inquiry is progressing, and we are now releasing footage of two people we would like to identify and speak to as part of our investigation.
“It’s important for the public to know that we are treating the first person seen running – dressed in a dark-coloured jumper and light-coloured trousers – as a key witness, and not a suspect.
“If you recognise either of these people, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
