Two men have been arrested after a stolen van was recovered following a police chase that ended in Edgware.
Three Rivers Police said via a post on social media on 29th July, that they received a call reporting that a van had been stolen from a home in South Oxhey, after suspects “reportedly broken into the property before taking the vehicle keys and driving away.”
The van was later picked up by ANPR and tracked as it crossed into the Metropolitan Police area. A spokesperson said, “When the stolen van failed to stop when requested by officers, a pursuit began, involving the National Police Air Service.”
The vehicle was abandoned in Edgware, but both suspects were quickly caught by Met officers.
Police confirmed: “Two 19-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of the South Oxhey burglary, and four others in the London area.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
