Miller & Carter in Harrow, one of the borough’s most popular dining spots, has announced that it will remain closed until further notice due to a water leak.
Yesterday morning (Sunday 3rd August), the restaurant said in a social media post: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to close the restaurant until further notice. We are yet unsure whether we will open later on today. Please keep an eye out on our social media to be updated.”

A spokesperson for Miller & Carter posted in the Harrow Online Facebook Group, “We would like to inform you that our current closure is only temporary. Unfortunately, we have experienced a significant water leak within the building, which has resulted in a loss of water supply.
“As a result, we are unable to operate safely and comfortably at this time. Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to resolve the issue as swiftly as possible. A dedicated team of contractors were on-site throughout the day yesterday and returned early this morning to continue working on the repairs. Their goal is to restore the water supply promptly and ensure the building is fully functional again.
“We are hopeful that we will be able to reopen later this evening and welcome you back as soon as it is safe and practical to do so. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to stay updated by checking our social media channels, where we will be posting the latest information as it becomes available.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your patience, support, and understanding during this time. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.”
