Visitors to Pinner Memorial Park may have noticed that the playground is currently closed, with construction equipment and fencing in place as part of a major refurbishment project.
Harrow Council is carrying out extensive upgrade works to improve the play area, which will soon feature brand-new equipment, improved safety features, and refreshed surfaces.
Footage sent to Harrow Online shows the ongoing work, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
A spokesperson for Harrow Council said, “We know how much our young residents and families love using the playgrounds in our parks. We’re investing £6m over three years to improve our parks including upgrading play areas. This investment has also helped ensure the expansion of our accredited Green Flag parks from 6 to 8 for the first time.

“Pinner Memorial Park is one of many currently undergoing upgrade works. Once complete, children can enjoy their new playground which will include new equipment, new surfaces, fencing and safety features to prevent injuries. We hope to have the playground at Pinner Memorial to be open again early September.”
The project is part of Harrow Council’s wider plans to invest in local parks and green spaces, aiming to make them safer, more accessible, and enjoyable for families across the borough.
