A Harrow supermarket previously criticised for its food hygiene standards has now been awarded the highest possible rating following a re-inspection.
Budgens, located on Kenton Road, was reinspected on 15 August 2025 and given a rating of 5 – Very Good across all areas assessed by food safety officers.
The inspection found:
- Hygienic food handling – Very good
- Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building – Very good
- Management of food safety – Very good
The latest rating marks a significant turnaround after the supermarket was told improvements were needed earlier in the summer.
Food hygiene ratings are carried out by local authority inspectors and take into account how food is handled, cleanliness of facilities, and how safety is managed.
