A Kingsbury takeaway has been given a low food hygiene score following a recent inspection.
New Jersey Chicken, based at 203 Edgware Road, was awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 1 out of 5 by the London Borough of Brent. The inspection took place on 12 August 2025.
The report found that “major improvement” was necessary in food hygiene and safety, while the structure of the premises required improvement. Confidence in management was rated as “generally satisfactory.”
The Food Hygiene Rating scheme is run by local councils in partnership with the Food Standards Agency. A score of 1 means that major improvements are needed, while 5 is the highest possible rating.
