A woman was taken to hospital after emergency services responded to a fire at a flat in Wealdstone on Saturday evening (27 September). A number of ambulances were spotted on Masons Avenue near the scene, along with an incident response unit.
Emergency services were called to Herga Road following reports of smoke coming from a property.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on Saturday 27th September at 6.30pm to reports of a fire in Herga Road, Wealdstone.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews, London’s air ambulance and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
“We treated a person at the scene before taking them to hospital.”
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “We were called at 1825 hrs on 27 September to a report of a smoke alarm sounding and smoke issuing from a flat on Herga Road in Wealdstone. Firefighters attended and discovered light smoke inside the kitchen, believed to have been caused by cooking. The flat sustained minor smoke damage.
“Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to a woman inside the flat before leaving her in the care of the London Ambulance Service. Two fire engines from Harrow and Stanmore fire stations attended the scene.”
