A takeaway in South Harrow has been told major improvements are needed after receiving a low food hygiene score following a recent inspection.
Ammu Express, a south-Asian takeaway and restaurant, is located at 317 Northolt Road, was inspected on 3 September 2025 and given a rating of 1 out of 5 by food safety officers.
The score means “major improvement necessary” in areas such as food handling, cleanliness and the management of food safety.
The rating is part of the Food Standards Agency’s national scheme, which helps customers make informed choices about where they eat or buy food. A score of 5 is considered “very good”, while 0 is the lowest possible rating.
