A serious medical incident closed London Road in Stanmore this morning (Monday, 13 October) for around two hours.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10:30am, near the junction with Marsh Lane. A blue screen was seen being put up by crews as they worked at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions, causing heavy traffic in the area. Bus routes 142, 324 and H12 were also being diverted.
The road reopened shortly after 12pm with police remaining at the scene directing traffic.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.58am on Monday 13 October to reports of a person unwell at the junction of Rusper Close and London Road, Stanmore.
“We dispatched multiple resources, including an ambulance crew and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London Air Ambulance, which consisted of a doctor and a paramedic in a car.
“We treated a patient at the scene and was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
