Emergency services were called to a car fire near Stanmore Station on Monday evening (10 November).
The incident happened on London Road at around 9:15pm, with the road closed in both directions at the junction with Merrion Drive. Several bus routes, including the 142, 324, H12 and N98, were diverted while crews dealt with the blaze.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said, “We were called at 2113 hrs yesterday (10 November) to reports of a car alight on London Road in Stanmore.
“Firefighters from Stanmore Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the fire by 2135 hrs.
“There were no reports of any injuries.”
The road remained closed for around one and a half hours and was fully reopened at around 10:44pm.
