A roofing contractor working at Sudbury Primary School was rushed to a major trauma centre and remains in a life-threatening condition after falling from height on Wednesday, 26 November.
Emergency services arrived quickly and treated him at the scene. No children were injured during the incident.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.58pm yesterday (26 November) to reports of person who had fallen from height in Watford Road, Wembley.
“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
A spokesperson for Met Police said, “Police were called at 14:02hrs on Wednesday, 26 November to reports a man had fallen from height at a school in Watford Road, Wembley.
“Officers arrived and treated a man in his 50s before he was passed into the care of the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“An investigation is ongoing.”
Mrs Kamini Mistry, Headteacher at the school, said, “While incidents like this are terribly unfortunate, we are grateful that emergency protocols were followed quickly and staff and pupils remained safe. Our thoughts are currently with the individual’s family at this time.”
