Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was targeted in an attempted knife-point robbery near Sutton Car Park in Estcourt Road.
At around 5.45pm on Wednesday 12 November, a 19-year-old woman was walking along a footpath when she was pushed by a man who reportedly threatened her with a knife and demanded money. She suffered a slight scratch to her neck before the suspect ran off.
The man was described as white, aged around 50 to 60, wearing a grey hoodie, black joggers and old brown boots. He was also said to have a long grey beard.
Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford Criminal Investigation Department, said: “I appreciate the nature of this incident is concerning, and our enquiries are ongoing as we continue to piece together what happened.
“Did you see the incident, or have any further details that may assist our investigation? Please report any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be, via email.”
