Harrow Police have seized a car after officers on patrol spotted a vehicle in poor condition on Wednesday, 4 December.
Officers carried out checks and found the MOT had expired by almost two months. When the driver was stopped in South Harrow, they admitted to having no insurance. The vehicle was seized at the scene, and the driver was reported for driving without insurance and without a valid MOT.
PS Exworthy said: “This vehicle seizure is the result of Harrow Police’s determination to stop those who seek to break the law on the roads. This is the fourth vehicle seized by our team for driving without insurance in Harrow in the last 48 hours.”
Police said offences like these put other road users at risk, and that they will continue to take action against uninsured and unsafe vehicles on the borough’s roads.
Harrow Police are reminding drivers to ensure their documents are up to date and their vehicles are roadworthy.
