An off-licence in Harrow has been given a 1 out of 5 rating after its latest food hygiene inspection.
Harrow Foods & Wine, based at 6 Central Parade on Station Road, just opposite the big Tesco, was inspected on 1 August 2025. The business, listed as a retailer, received a score that means ‘major improvements’ are needed.
Inspectors assessed the three key areas. Hygienic food handling was rated as improvement necessary. This includes how food is prepared, cooked, reheated, cooled and stored.
Cleanliness and the overall condition of the facilities were also marked as improvement necessary. This covers layout, ventilation, handwashing facilities and pest control.
The biggest concern was around the management of food safety, which was rated as major improvement necessary. This relates to whether proper systems and checks are in place, staff knowledge of food safety, and whether standards can be maintained.
