A planning application has been submitted to turn a small car park in Pynnacles Close, Stanmore, into a three-storey residential building.
The site, just off Church Road near Stanmore Broadway, once formed part of the old Stanmore Free Church, which documents confirm was demolished in the late 1990s. The land has been used only as a car park for more than 25 years.
The proposal includes three self-contained two-bed flats, basement parking and roof terraces.
Several objections have been submitted. One neighbour said: “I am a neighbour here. This will affect access into our flat and building, as well as the lighting. This will be disruptive to our every day lives.”
Another raised issues around access, daylight and privacy, stating: “We therefore STONRGLY object to this development.”
An archaeological report found no heritage constraints on the site. The application is currently under consideration, with a decision expected by 27 February 2026.
