Police in Harrow have seized a high-powered Range Rover after stopping an uninsured driver during patrols this week.
The vehicle was stopped on Tuesday, December 16, on Tithe Farm Avenue by the South Harrow Tasking Team, which is attached to Harrow’s Local Policing Team. Officers carried out checks on the car and confirmed that the driver did not have valid insurance.
The driver has been reported to court, and the vehicle was seized and taken to the police pound.
Police say the action forms part of ongoing efforts to target uninsured drivers, who are seen as a risk to other road users and the wider community in the borough.
If convicted, driving without insurance can lead to a fine, penalty points on a driving licence, disqualification from driving and the seizure or destruction of the vehicle involved.
