Residents living near Queensbury Underground station are to be notified of planned trackside works on the Jubilee line, which are due to start later this month and run for around 18 months.
In a letter shared on social media, Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that essential track works will begin from 16 January 2026. The works are taking place near Queensbury station and are described as critical to the continued safe operation of the Jubilee line.
TfL says the project is expected to be completed in summer 2027.
According to the letter, materials for the works will be delivered to the track via Lowther Road. At certain times, large vehicles will need to be marshalled in and out of the road, which TfL says may cause minor delays to some journeys.
Residents have also been warned to expect some noise once the works get underway. TfL says it will take steps to reduce disturbance, including limiting work to daytime hours only.
All staff involved in the project will be briefed on respecting local residents and keeping noise levels to a minimum. TfL says noise levels will be closely monitored throughout the works.
The letter also confirms that TfL has consulted with the London Borough of Brent to ensure noise is controlled using “Best Practicable Means” in line with the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
