Police are appealing for help to identify a man after a serious assault on board a Piccadilly Line train.
British Transport Police are investigating an incident that happened at around 2pm on Thursday, 9 January.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Detectives are releasing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries into a serious assault on-board a Piccadilly Line train.
“At around 2pm on 9 January, the victim boarded an eastbound service from South Ealing Underground station.
“He was then approached by a man who offered him alcohol. The victim turned down the offer, and the man became abusive and aggressive.
“As the victim alighted at Hammersmith Underground station, the man struck him on the head with a wine bottle causing it to shatter on impact. He suffered deep cuts to his head requiring emergency medical attention in hospital.
“Detectives believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their investigation.”
