Squatters have been removed from a former karaoke bar in Pinner Green after a joint operation involving police, security teams and the building’s owners.
Several members of the Harrow Online community reported seeing a large police presence outside the former Sync Bar last night (Wednesday 21 January), prompting concern from local residents.
The bar closed just under a year ago, and had been taken over by a group who forced entry, changed the locks and began living inside the derelict building. Police were called in after reports of anti-social behaviour, safety concerns and the worsening condition of the site.
The owners of the premises successfully applied for an Interim Possession Order (IPO) on Tuesday 20 January, which legally required the squatters to leave within 24 hours.
When the deadline passed without compliance, officers from the Harrow Local Policing Team attended the property on Wednesday 21 January alongside security staff and partner agencies.
On arrival, officers discovered the original security door had been removed and replaced with a new door and fresh locks installed by the squatters.
Police and security teams worked together to safely enter the building, confirm it was empty and return control of the property to its rightful owners.
The premises has now been fully secured to prevent further unauthorised entry.

Residents had raised concerns about the building being left unsecured and the potential risk it posed to the local area.
