Police are appealing for information after a serious collision in Ealing left a man in critical condition.
Officers were called at around 2.30pm on Friday, 23 January, to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and an e-scooter on The Vale, Ealing.
The e-scooter was travelling westbound when it was involved in the collision.
Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A man in his 80s was treated for his injuries and taken to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
The rider of the e-scooter stopped briefly before abandoning the scooter and leaving the area on foot, heading along The Vale towards Acton.
Detective Sergant Fiaz Janjua from the Met’s Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to review CCTV footage from the area at the time of the incident. However, we are appealing to the public for assistance and ask that anyone who witnessed the accident to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be helpful to the investigation.”
