A 10-year-old boy was taken to hospital this morning after a collision on Honeypot Lane in Queensbury.
The road was closed in both directions on Sunday 25 January following the incident, with the closure in place from around 8:43am at the junction with Taunton Way.
An air ambulance landed in Queensbury Park and emergency services attended the scene.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 08:29am today (25 January) to reports of a road traffic collision in Honeypot Lane, Stanmore.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first crews arrived in under three minutes.
“We treated a child at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At around 08:36hrs on Sunday, 25 January, officers attended Honeypot Lane, Stanmore following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
“A 10-year-old boy was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance.
“He was taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as life changing.
“The driver of the car was arrested on suspicious of drink driving and dangerous driving.
“He was taken into custody, where he remains.
“Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 1714/25JAN.”
