A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed on a 140 bus travelling along Station Road in Harrow town centre this afternoon.
Police were called at around 2pm on Thursday (12 February) to reports of a stabbing on board the bus. Emergency services attended and the bus was taped off while officers carried out their investigation.
Earlier, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2pm today (12 February) to reports of a stabbing in Station Road, Harrow.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than seven minutes.
“We treated a patient at the scene but he didn’t need to be taken to hospital.”
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said, “On Thursday, 12 February at 14:00hrs police were called to reports of a stabbing on a bus travelling on Station Road, Harrow.
“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 16-year-old boy before taking him to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He remains in custody.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3990/Feb12.”
