A man has been arrested in Pinner after officers forced entry into a property where he had allegedly barricaded himself inside.
Police were called to an address on Wednesday, 25 February, after receiving information that the man, who was wanted on recall to prison, had entered a property he was not permitted to stay in.
He had previously been arrested by Harrow Local Policing Team in 2025 for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. After breaching the conditions of his licence, he was given an eight-month prison sentence. Following his release last week, officers were alerted that he had again failed to comply with his licence requirements and was wanted.
When officers arrived at the address, the man refused to cooperate and barricaded himself inside. With the property recently secured by its owners and limited access available, officers entered through a small window.
Once inside, PC Wason and PS Bridges from Harrow MPS detained the man and arrested him on recall to prison. The property was then secured and handed back to the owners.
PS Bridges said: “Our priority was to resolve the situation safely and prevent any further risk to the community. This was a team effort, and the officers on scene acted with professionalism and calm decision-making throughout.”
Police said the arrest followed joint working with probation services.
