A prolific shoplifter who was jailed last year for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order has been arrested again following an incident at St George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow.
In July 2024, Harrow Online reported that Majed Zaher Majed, 45, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison for repeatedly breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). The order, imposed in May 2022, banned him from entering St Ann’s Shopping Centre and surrounding roads after a series of theft-related offences.
Now, St George’s Management Team say they have been working with retailers and police in recent weeks following further alleged incidents of shoplifting and suspected breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
In a statement sent to Harrow Online, the management team said they had been liaising with tenants and officers, gathering statements and securing CCTV footage. They described themselves as the “pivotal contact” between businesses and police while helping to build the case.
They said that on 26 February 2026 at around 1.05pm, the individual — identified by them as Majed — was seen outside the shopping centre on St Anns Road and detained on suspicion of committing six offences, including three alleged shoplifting incidents and three suspected breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Police were contacted and attended the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of three breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order and three counts of shoplifting.
A spokesperson for St George’s Shopping Centre said the coordinated response shows the importance of partnership working in tackling repeat offending and supporting retailers.
