Several road closures are set to disrupt residents of Brent this month while major utility works are carried out, with a number of streets in Willesden, Kenton and Harlesden scheduled to close for weeks or months at a time.
However, some roads are expected to reopen after being closed for many weeks. Union Road in Wembley will reopen mid-way through the month for the first time since it closed for water works in February. Beaconsfield Road in Willesden is also expected to reopen again on April 27 having been shut for more than two months whilst essential water works were carried out.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has found all of the ongoing and planned road closures that are happening in April, according to one.network. Whilst some closures will only take place overnight, others will see roads shut for weeks or even months at a time.
The closures could cause traffic disruption for residents who may need to find an alternative route to get to their destination.
Other major road closures throughout the month include Upton Gardens in Kenton, which shut on March 23 and will remain closed until June. Oldfield Road in Harlesden will shut towards the end of the month and not reopen again until late August.
Below is a breakdown of all the road closures both ongoing and planned that will be in force throughout April and beyond. Residents should look out for diversion routes to avoid facing substantial disruption.

- Cavendish Avenue (Sudbury): Road closed from April 27 to May 22 for water works
- Fernwood Avenue (Sudbury): Road closed from April 27 to May 1 for electricity works
- Western Avenue (Park Royal): Road closed from April 23 to April 25 for water works
- Bridge Road (Harlesden): Road closed from March 28 to April 2 for telecoms works
- Hawkins Road (Harlesden): Road closed from March 28 to April 2 for telecoms works
- Oldfield Road (Harlesden): Road closed from April 20 to August 24 for water works
- Tubbs Road (Harlesden): Road closed from March 23 to April 3 for gas works
- Colin Road (Willesden): Road closed from March 2 to May 2 for water works
- Beaconsfield Road (Willesden): Road closed from February 19 to April 27 for water works
- Windsor Road (Willesden): Road closed from March 16 to May 5 for water works
- Rutland Park (Willesden): Road closed from March 23 to May 4 for water works
