Three people have been arrested after an attempted arson attack in Wembley on Wednesday night.
Police say the incident happened at around 8.30pm on 15 April, when officers on patrol were alerted that a lit container had been thrown towards the offices of a Persian language media organisation.
The container landed in a car park, where the fire went out on its own. No damage was reported and no one was injured.
Officers carried out urgent enquiries and found the suspects had left the area in a black SUV.
An armed police vehicle already nearby spotted a car matching the description. The driver failed to stop, leading to a short pursuit.
The vehicle later crashed on Ballards Lane near the junction with Woodberry Gardens in North London.
A 16-year-old boy and two men aged 19 and 21 were arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life. They remain in police custody.
Nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution, but police quickly confirmed there was no wider risk.
The incident is not being treated as terrorism. However, it is being investigated by Counter Terrorism Policing London, with support from local officers.
Police have also confirmed the attack is not currently linked to other recent arson incidents in Finchley or Golders Green.
