Plans have been submitted to convert a family home in Edgware into an eight-bedroom HMO.
The application relates to 270 Whitchurch Lane, Canons Park – just on the other side of the road from the station – and would see the home change from a six-bedroom house into shared accommodation for multiple people.
As part of the plans, it states the garage door would be removed and replaced with a window.
The property would keep its existing three parking spaces, with additional cycle storage included. A supporting report outlines fire safety measures that would be put in place, including a protected staircase, fire doors and a full alarm system across the building.
The application was submitted in March and is now being considered by Harrow Council, with a decision expected in the coming weeks. Residents can view the plans and submit comments through the council’s planning portal.
