A street in Edgware is set to reopen having been closed for gas works since March, with a string of other road closures set to begin in Harrow throughout May.
Norman Crescent in Hatch End is to remain closed throughout the month for essential water works, which are expected to be completed on June 19. Roads in Rayners Lane will also close for days or weeks at a time whilst essential water works take place.
Whitchurch Road in Edgware will reopen towards the end of the month having been closed for gas works since March. Cavendish Avenue in Sudbury Hill will also be closed throughout the month and not reopen again until early June.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has found all of the ongoing and planned road closures that are happening in May, according to one.network. Whilst some closures will only take place overnight, others will see roads shut for weeks or even months at a time.
Below is a breakdown of all the road closures both ongoing and planned that will be in force throughout May and beyond. Residents should look out for diversion routes to avoid facing substantial disruptions.

- Cavendish Avenue (Sudbury Hill): Road closed from April 20 to June 4 for gas works
- West Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from May 19 to May 21 for water works
- Rayners Lane (Rayners Lane): Road closed from May 1 to May 5 for water works
- Alfriston Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from May 11 to May 22 for water works
- The Ridgeway (Rayners Lane): Road closed from May 11 to May 22 for water works
- Suffolk Road (Rayners Lane): Road closed from April 22 to May 1 for water works
- Lyncroft Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from April 29 to May 8 for water works
- Eastcote Road (Rayners Lane): Road closed from May 11 to May 22 for water works
- West End Avenue (Pinner): Road closed from April 20 to May 17 for road maintenance works
- Sylvia Avenue (Hatch End): Road closed from May 18 to May 22 for water works
- Norman Crescent (Hatch End): Road closed from April 7 to June 19 for water works
- Larkfield Avenue (Wealdstone): Road closed from April 27 to May 1 for electric works
- Whitchurch Gardens (Edgware): Road closed from March 13 to May 20 for gas works
- Burnt Oak Broadway (Edgware): Road closed from May 11 to May 19 for telecoms works
