A takeaway in Pinner previously handed a 1-star food hygiene rating has now received a new 5-star rating following a reinspection.
Alexandra’s, based at 72 Cannon Lane in Pinner, was reinspected on 29 April 2026 and awarded the top food hygiene rating by inspectors.
The update comes after Harrow Online reported in March that the takeaway had been given a 1-star food hygiene rating following an earlier inspection.
A spokesperson for Team Alexandra’s told Harrow Online: “Team Alexandra’s is a local pizza/kebab shop. We strive to serve the community to the best of our ability. We had a minor downfall recently as our hygiene rating dropped.
“We sincerely apologies for the inconvenience that’s caused by us. when the council revisited our site again the Food Safety Inspector gave us a 5 star hygiene rating.”
The Food Standards Agency’s hygiene rating scheme ranges from 0 to 5, with 5 meaning hygiene standards are rated as “very good”.
The updated rating followed a revisit inspection carried out by Harrow Council’s food safety team.
