Firefighters were called to a car fire in Watford town centre on Thursday evening, with flames and smoke seen billowing from the scene.
Footage sent to Harrow Online showed flames and thick smoke rising from the Church Car Park above the NatWest bank building and flats on Market Street.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 9:23pm on Thursday 4 June to reports of a building fire in Watford Town Centre.
“On arrival, crews discovered a car on fire in the Church Car Park above the NatWest bank building and flats on Market Street. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus immediately began tackling the fire and it was extinguished it by 10.04pm with crews continuing to damp down the area. Three fire engines from Garston and Watford attended the incident”
Emergency services remained at the scene after the fire was brought under control while firefighters continued dampening down operations.
