A man remains in police custody following a crash involving a stolen vehicle outside the Duck in the Pond pub in Harrow Weald last week.
The incident happened on Thursday, 4 June, when a silver Mercedes collided with a parked vehicle and a fence near the junction of Kenton Lane and College Hill Road.
The area was cordoned off overnight while emergency services dealt with the incident and carried out investigations.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police told Harrow Online: “On Thursday 4 June, officers on routine patrol in Bushey High Road, spotted a vehicle that had been reported as stolen. Officers followed the vehicle, a silver Mercedes, into the Stanmore area where they attempted to stop it. The vehicle failed to stop and continued in a dangerous manner before mounting the Kenton Lane roundabout and colliding with a parked vehicle and a fence.
“Two people in the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries and then subsequently arrested for numerous offences.
“A 36 year old man from Barnet was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of Class A drugs, failing to provide a breath test, theft of a motor vehicle and breaching a court warrant. He remains in police custody.
“A 42 year old woman from Edgware was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of Class A drugs and has been released on police bail.”
The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
A spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulance crews and two paramedics in fast response cars to the scene, along with an Incident Response Officer.
“We treated two patients at the scene, and took one to a major trauma centre as a priority and the other to a local hospital.”
