A minicab company that has operated near Harrow & Wealdstone Station for around 20 years has been put up for sale.
King Minicabs, a long-standing private hire operator in Harrow, has been listed for sale after serving customers in the area for two decades.
Familiar name in Harrow
The company has operated from premises on Wealdstone High Street and is known to many residents who have used its services over the years.
The sale comes at a time when high streets continue to evolve, with businesses regularly changing hands, relocating or adapting to changing customer habits. While many traditional shops have disappeared over the years in an around the borough, local service-based businesses such as minicab operators continue to play a role in serving residents and commuters travelling to and from the station, which is literally just across the road.
According to the sale listing, the business serves customers across London and the wider UK.
Sale listing reveals business figures
Details published as part of the sale show the business has an asking price of £48,000.
The listing states the company records an annual turnover of around £360,000 and annual profits of approximately £78,000.
End of an era?
While no reason has been given for the sale, the listing could mark the end of an era for a business that has been part of Harrow for the best part of two decades.
It is not yet known whether the company will continue to operate under the same name if a sale is completed.
