Several road closures will disrupt residents of Harrow throughout this month while major utility works are carried out.
Water works on Morland Avenue in Kenton will finally come to an end at the end of August, having been closed to motorists since April whilst essential water works takes place.
While some road closures will only last a couple of days, minimising disruption, others will last weeks, including Blythwood Road in Hatch End which will be shut for more than two months.
The closures could cause traffic disruption for residents who may need to find an alternative route to get to their destination, whilst lane closures on major roads in the borough could result in long delays.
Rusland Park Avenue in Wealdstone will also reopen mid-way through the month, having been closed to motorists since early June. Marsworth Avenue, also in Hatch End, will close for essential water works at the end of the month and remain closed until the second week of September.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has found all of the ongoing and planned road and lane closures that will be taking place this month, according to one.network.
Below is a breakdown of all of these closures that will be in force.
Harrow road closures in August
- Bacon Lane (Edgware): Road closed from June 27 to August 10 for gas works
- Oakleigh Avenue (Edgware): Road closed from August 3 to August 28 for water works
- Cecil Park (Pinner): Road closed from July 27 to August 31 for road maintenance works
- Blythwood Road (Hatch End): Road closed from August 10 to October 30 for water works
- Marsworth Avenue (Hatch End): Road closed from August 31 to September 11 for water works
- Whitefriars Drive (Harrow Weald): Road closed from August 3 to August 5 for water works
- Fontwell Close (Harrow Weald): Road closed from July 27 to August 28 for gas works
- Carmelite Road (Harrow Weald): Road closed on August 25 from 9:30am to 3:30pm for water works
- Village Way (Rayners Lane): Road closed on August 23 from 9:30am to 12am for water works
- Highfield Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from August 24 to August 27 for water works
- St Johns Road (South Harrow): Road closed from August 19 to August 21 for telecoms works
- Gayton Road (South Harrow): Road closed from July 28 to August 3 for water works
- Northwick Avenue (South Harrow): Road closed from July 28 to August 3 for water works
- Willowcourt Avenue (Kenton): Road closed from July 16 to August 10 for water works
- Upton Gardens (Kenton): Road closed from July 16 to August 10 for water works
- Sedgecombe Avenue (Kenton): Road closed from August 6 to August 28 for water works
- Totternhoe Close (Kenton): Road closed from August 14 to August 15 for water works
- Morland Avenue (Kenton): Road closed from April 28 to August 24 for water works
- Rusland Park Road (Wealdstone): Road closed from June 2 to August 10 for gas works
- Marlborough Hill (Wealdstone): Road closed from July 17 to August 25 for gas works
- Princes Drive (Wealdstone): Road closed from July 28 to August 24 for water works
