A new restaurant in Kenton could be allowed to stay open until 11pm every day of the week under a planning application submitted to Harrow Council.
Ganesh Bar & Restaurant (Alupuri) has taken over the unit at 30 Kenton Park Parade on Kenton Road, which was previously occupied by Ice ‘n’ Spice.
The latest planning application has been submitted and seeks to vary a condition controlling the opening hours of the venue.
Plans for opening until 11pm
According to the application, the existing planning condition permits the premises to operate between 7.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, with no opening permitted on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
The applicant wants this changed to allow opening between 10am and 11pm from Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.
The reason given in the application is: “We requesting to change the operational hours of the restaurant to provide service to local community.”

The premises are now occupied by Ganesh Bar & Restaurant following the closure of Ice ‘n’ Spice earlier this year.
The planning condition being varied dates back to November 1985, when permission was granted for part of the ground floor to be used as a café in connection with an existing bakers shop.
Harrow Council will consider the latest application before making a decision.
