A restaurant in Harrow Town Centre is celebrating after receiving a four-star food hygiene rating from Harrow Council.
The Patel’s Original, based at 267 Station Road, has been awarded the rating following its latest assessment.
A rating of 4 means the business has “good” food hygiene standards, according to the Food Standards Agency.

The new result marks a significant improvement for the restaurant, which had previously received a food hygiene rating of 1 in May.
That earlier score meant “major improvement necessary”, while the latest four-star rating means inspectors now consider the business to have good hygiene standards overall.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme looks at a number of areas when a business is inspected, including how hygienically food is handled, the condition and cleanliness of the premises, and how food safety is managed.
Harrow Online first covered the opening of The Patel’s Original earlier this year, when the new restaurant was receiving positive early reviews from customers.
Managements from The Patel’s Original, contacted Harrow Online following the latest assessment and said they were happy to confirm the restaurant had received its new four-star rating.
Food hygiene ratings reflect the standards found by inspectors at the time of their visit and do not rate the quality or taste of the food.
