Students at Park High School in Stanmore are celebrating another strong set of GCSE results today, with more than three-quarters securing a pass in English Language.
The school said 64.9% of students achieved grades 9 to 4 in both English and Maths, while half of the cohort secured the stronger grades of 9 to 5 in both subjects.
More than a fifth of students achieved the top grades of 9 to 7 in English and Maths.
English was another particularly strong area, with 76.9% achieving grades 9 to 4 in English Language and 79.4% doing the same in English Literature.
Strong results across a range of subjects
Park High also recorded a 100% pass rate at grade 4 or above among students taking the Separate Sciences – Biology, Chemistry and Physics – as well as Further Mathematics.
Strong results were also recorded across subjects including Photography, Religious Studies, Music, Computer Science and Media Studies.
Headteacher Colette O’Dwyer said: “I am delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students, whose determination and commitment have been rewarded with this fantastic set of results. Their success reflects not only their own hard work and resilience, but also the dedication of our staff and the invaluable encouragement of their families. It has been a privilege to see them grow in confidence throughout their time at Park High and today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Whether they are continuing their studies with us in our Sixth Form or pursuing other opportunities, I wish every one of them the very best for the future.”
Among the school’s highest-achieving students was Rithik, who secured nine grade 9s and two grade 8s. Keshav also achieved nine grade 9s alongside two grade 7s, while Harsh secured eight grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7.
A number of students receiving their GCSE results today will now continue their studies at Park High’s Sixth Form. The school recently celebrated its A-level results, with 65% of students achieving grades A*-C.

Harrow High School is also celebrating after announcing what it described as its best ever set of GCSE results, with more than 70% of students achieving grades 9 to 4 in both English and Maths.
Park High’s latest results come two years after the school was rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted.
