Passengers travelling through Harrow are facing major disruption this afternoon after a sewage leak on the railway at Watford High Street.
TfL is reporting disruption on both the London Overground Lioness line and the Bakerloo line, affecting a number of stations across Harrow, Brent and Watford.
A TfL service update seen shortly before 2pm today, Friday 11 September, said there was no Lioness line service between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction, with severe delays on the rest of the line due to the sewage leak at Watford High Street.
The Bakerloo line was also shown as suspended between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, with tickets being accepted on London Buses.
TfL’s online status information describes the incident as a track fault at Watford High Street and confirms disruption to both lines.
Which Harrow stations are affected?
The disruption is particularly significant for passengers using the north-west London section of the Lioness line.
Stations on the affected route include Willesden Junction, Harlesden, Stonebridge Park, Wembley Central, North Wembley, South Kenton, Kenton, Harrow & Wealdstone, Headstone Lane, Hatch End, Carpenders Park, Bushey, Watford High Street and Watford Junction.
TfL’s Lioness line timetable confirms that these stations form the route between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction.
For Harrow passengers, this means services at Kenton, Harrow & Wealdstone, Headstone Lane and Hatch End are among those affected.
The Bakerloo suspension additionally impacts passengers travelling between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, including Wembley Central, North Wembley, South Kenton and Kenton.
Passengers advised to check before travelling
London Underground tickets are being accepted on reasonable alternative routes for Lioness line passengers, although travellers should be aware that the Bakerloo line is also affected.
TfL said tickets on the disrupted section of the Bakerloo line are being accepted on London Buses
Passengers can check the latest information on the TfL website or TfL Go app, which provides live Tube and London Overground service updates.
