A van carrying scrap metal has been destroyed in a fire on a residential road in Wembley yesterday afternoon.
The blaze broke out on Grendon Gardens on Tuesday, 15 September, with thick smoke visible from the vehicle as firefighters dealt with the incident.
A member of the Harrow Online Group sent footage from the scene showing the van engulfed in flames. The road is not far from the large Asda superstore in Wembley.
Firefighters receive 35 calls
London Fire Brigade told Harrow Online: “Firefighters were called to a van alight on Grendon Gardens in Wembley.
“A van carrying scrap metal was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 35 calls to the fire at 1638 and the fire was under control by 1722. Two fire engines from Wembley Fire Station attended the scene.”
LFB confirmed no injuries were reported.
