A road in North Harrow has closed to vehicles for nearly a month as work connected to the Harrow-to-Pinner cycleway continues to progress.
Woodlands is now closed at its junction with Pinner Road, with the restriction coming into force on Tuesday 29 September.
The closure is required for works connected with the wider Harrow to Pinner Cycleway Improvement Scheme and is expected to remain in place until 27 October.
Diversion in place
Vehicles are currently unable to enter or leave Woodlands from Pinner Road.
A diversion has been put in place via South Way and Pinner Road, while access to properties within the closed section will be maintained as far as practically possible.
Emergency service vehicles and vehicles involved in the cycleway works are also exempt from the restriction.
Although the temporary traffic order allows for a legal maximum duration of 18 months, the notice states that the work is currently expected to be finished by 27 October.

Part of wider Harrow to Pinner cycleway
The work forms part of a much larger project designed to create improved walking and cycling links between Harrow Town Centre and Pinner, running through West Harrow and North Harrow.
The proposed route is around three miles, or 4.5km, long and has been divided into four sections.
Woodlands sits within the third section, which runs between North Harrow and Pinner and includes Woodlands, a short section of Pinner Road, Melrose Road, Kingsley Road, Marsh Road and Cecil Park.
Plans for the wider project include new or improved cycle tracks, pedestrian crossings, traffic-calming measures, pavement improvements and additional planting along parts of the route.
In North Harrow, proposals include a continuous cycle track through the town centre and a new parallel zebra crossing on Imperial Drive.
Scheme has been in development for several years
The Harrow-to-Pinner cycleway has been in development for several years now.
An initial public consultation was held between October and December 2023 and received 151 responses. Sections one to three were subsequently progressed, while the Pinner section was redesigned following concerns raised during the original consultation.
Revised plans for the Pinner end were consulted on again during summer 2025, with changes including retaining the service road outside Jubilee Parade and moving the proposed cycle track to the eastern side of Marsh Road.
