A man was taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a house in Eastcote on Friday afternoon (2 October).
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Wentworth Drive at 3.47pm following reports of a blaze at a semi-detached property.
Loft and garden outhouse destroyed
London Fire Brigade said both the loft of the house and an outhouse in the garden were destroyed by the fire.
One man had left the property before firefighters arrived. He was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.
Firefighters used 32-metre ladder
Crews used a 32-metre turntable ladder, which was used as a water tower to tackle the fire from outside and provide additional support.
Firefighters from Northolt, Wembley, Ruislip and surrounding stations attended the incident.
The Brigade said its Control Officers received five calls about the fire, with the first coming in at 3.47pm. The blaze was brought under control by 5.13pm.
Fire believed to have been accidental
London Fire Brigade said the cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental. It is thought combustible materials had been positioned too close to a heat source.
