Learn-to-swim classes and competitive swimming based at Harrow Leisure Centre. They cater for young swimmers between the ages of 4 to 19 years old and Masters, 20 and above
The Borough of Harrow Swimming Club (BHSC) was founded in 1976 to encourage and pursue high standards in the sport of Competitive Swimming. BHSC is a member of Swim England which is the national governing body for swimming in England. The Club is a SwimMark accredited competitive swimming club catering for young swimmers between the ages of 4 to 19 years old and Masters, 20 and above. They place a large emphasis on technique and executing skills quickly over short distances with the younger swimmers, progressing through the distances as skills are solidified and swimmers move through the squads.
The Club encourages all eligible swimmers to participate in internal and external galas and participates yearly in County, Regional and National competitions. Swimming is arranged in squads, reflecting the swimmer’s age, ability, and attendance. For most squads there are more sessions available per week than are expected to be swum, allowing some flexibility.
Their Swim England qualified coaches and teachers work with the swimmers on technique, speed and stamina to help all of our swimmers achieve their maximum potential.
