Chris Mitchell


Chris, Founder of Harrow Online, has a clear, long-term strategy and has been the driving force behind the brands growth since 2010. He developed the idea for launching his own social media news publishing business while working at the MOBO awards in 2009.

He believes people want news delivered in a modern fashion that paints a picture of the story as it develops. He founded Harrow Online in February 2010.

Nicci Rae


Nicci Rae was born in Cumbria in 1971 and, apart from three years in Bahrain at a very young age, grew up in Barrow in Furness, a shipbuilding town famous for building submarines. At the age of seventeen she moved to London to work for Mute Records who were hugely successful at the time with Erasure and Depeche Mode amongst others. She has since worked in several different areas of the entertainment industry, including working on design and writing copy for DVD releases at Simply Media and is currently an author, freelance copywriter, PR professional and founder of Front Page Promotions, a pay as you go PR agency. Nicci works with a number of high profile companies including Jimmy Choo, The Carers Association and Triple Two Coffee and writes regularly for Ezylet and Harrow Online.

Nicci currently lives in Harrow, North West London and is the author of: Beth Green, Badgers & Jam, Mad Bess Wood and Paper Cuts.

Luke Severn


Luke is a BJTC accredited Journalist originally from outside of London. Moving to London in 2018, he has written for a variety of outlets. He is currently working as a content writer for a global blindness charity and a tech firm following his MA in Journalism

Sonali Samgi


Sonali was born in India, raised in the UK and lives in London. She took an interest in writing in her short university journey. She has written, edited and published her own fictional and non-fictional novels on Amazon. She wants to pursue a job as a journalist, but her ultimate dream is to become a best-selling author.

Vlad Bourceanu


Vlad Bourceanu was born in Bucharest, Romania. At the age of 2 years and 3 months, he started his music theory lessons – and, soon thereafter, his violin and piano lessons. He holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree (as part of which he also studied conducting) in violin performance. He has studied the violin with Professors including Jean Harvey and Erich Gruenberg, and in Masterclasses with Ruggiero Ricci, Zakhar Bron and many others, giving solo and chamber music performances to great acclaim. He has also led orchestras under world-class conductors such as Kurt Masur, and played (orchestrally) under the batons of Bernard Haitink, Sir Colin Davis, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Edward Gardner, and others. He has been Assistant Conductor at Opera Holland Park for a “La Traviata” production, and had a co-written work performed at the Barbican Hall, in the presence of Pierre Boulez. He has considerable experience as a music critic, having written for publications including the Harrow Observer and Jimmy Wales' WikiTribune, the evidence-based news website (where he founded their Culture section). In March 2022, he was Called to the Bar of England and Wales, becoming a legal barrister.

Hugo McGinty


Hugo is a Harrow native and an avid reader and writer. Hugo sought local news sites like Harrow online for their creative freedom and ability to play with ideas and stories. While working for Harrow online, Hugo has discovered parts of the Harrow borough that were unknown to him and is enjoying learning about Harrow's rich history. Hugo intends to provide the reader with funny and exciting stories about the borough. Hopefully, you will enjoy them.

Edward Wilkins


Edward is a crime and sports contributor for Harrow Online. Growing up in Harrow Weald, and gaining a NVQ in Media Studies after studying at Harrow for over three years. He specialises in live news and events as they happen across Harrow.

Joanne D Silva


Joanne loves spotlighting and curating articles on art , lifestyle, food, travel, fashion, politics and interviewing renowned artists embarking on their inspirational journey. She has years of experience as a writer, interviewer, and content creator. She has a background in Journalism and has worked in the Bollywood Industry it both print and digital magazines.
