A driver crashed into a building on Headstone Lane last night (24 October) before leaving the scene shortly prior to emergency services arriving.
The incident happened at around 8:45pm, police are continuing to investigate what happened.
An eye-witness and member of Harrow Online contacted us saying: “So I looked out my window and saw a car speeding and it crashed in to the Shurgard Self storage in Headstone Lane.
“People stopped by to check and after about 5 minutes a middle aged man with blonde hair (mid lengthed) with a striped jumper and jeans got out of the car while on the phone and walked away from the scene.
“After 5-10 minutes, firefighters came, followed with ambulance, the ambulance left after talking to a firefighter.
“The fire department were investigating further around the area when after around 20 minutes, police arrived, investigated further and then asked me what happened.”

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 20:47hrs on Saturday, 24 October to reports of car in collision with a building on Headstone Lane in Harrow.
“Officers and the London Fire Brigade attended.
“The driver had left the scene.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
