Fire brigade tackle garden waste blaze in Kenton

London Fire Brigade responded to calls stating that rubbish was on fire behind a shop in Harrow this morning (31 August).

The fire was at the rear of a commercial premises on Hillbury Avenue in Kenton, Harrow.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson told Harrow Online: “Firefighters were called to reports of rubbish alight at the rear of a shop on Hillbury Avenue in Harrow this morning (Tuesday).

“Some fencing and garden waste was damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took eight calls to the fire.

“The Brigade was called at 0701 and the fire was under control by 0731. One fire engine from Stanmore Fire Station was at the scene.”
