The Christmas celebrations at Harrow Town Centre kicked off with a ‘bhangra’ – quite literally!
Shoppers and members of the public were in for a treat as this year’s Christmas extravaganza began at Harrow Town Centre. There were a myriad of events from members of a bhangra team regaling the audience with powerful and rhythmic beats that got quite a few audience members dancing to Rock Choir performing classic and Christmas hits.
Rock Choir is the UK’s leading contemporary award-winning choir, set up by Caroline Redman. The choir offers local weekly rehearsals, performances and life-affirming events to more than 400 towns and communities across the UK.
Rock Choir is recognised as the first of its kind to offer a no-audition and no-requirement-to-read-music choir experience in the UK and invites anyone with any level of musical experience to join. It attracts everyone who loves to sing pop and contemporary songs.
Shoppers within St Ann’s and St George’s Shopping Centre’s could feast their eyes on beautiful and intricate Christmas decorations and lights as they shopped and ate.
On Saturday 27th November at 5pm, special guest, The Mayor of Harrow switched on the Christmas lights just a few weeks after turning on the lights for Diwali.
Festive Fun at Harrow Town Centre will be running until the 23rd December, so there is still plenty of time to experience the first ever Ice-Skating Rink, walkabout acts including dinosaurs, The Grinch and Titan the Robot.
There is also a special ‘Come as yourself, leave as an ELF’ workshop so there is so much for the family to enjoy as well.
All events are free and the public is encouraged to follow Harrow Town Centre on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or visit the website: harrowtowncentre.co.uk for more information.
