McDonald’s and local Harrow residents work together to organise litter picking event

McDonald’s and local residents have worked together to organise a #LoveHarrow event to help reduce litter on the streets.

Kurt Jansen franchisee said: “Local residents have picked up over 80 bags of litter in the last 7 days. As a local community they continue to really work together to tackle a problem.

“They engage with local stakeholders and encourage local businesses and residents to also do their part. As a Franchisee of a global brand like McDonald’s we know that a small percentage of our customers will generate litter.

“I work very closely with my leadership teams to try and ensure that we go above and beyond in what we do locally in picking up litter, and also investing in equipment and resources to help others.

“I’m blown away by the effort of everyone involved and as we plan for 2022 we will do even more to help tackle this problem. It would be great to see as many people there as possible.”

If you would like to join them please meet tomorrow morning (15 December) at 9:00am at the South Harrow McDonald’s.
