Northolt Road was temporarily closed off by police this evening (7 Feb) after a lorry got stuck under the bridge.
Police cordoned off the road in South Harrow at 7pm whilst they dealt with the incident.
The road was blocked in both directions due to a HGV being wedged under the bridge. Bus routes including the 114, 140, 258, 395,487, H9, H10 were affected but have since regained normal service.
Dramatic photos show the lorry stuck as members of the public looked on, the road was closed off for approximately two hours.
One person commented: “I’m in South Harrow now and the road is at a standstill, there’s a massive lorry stuck under the bridge and police have shut the road.”
