The car park and subway located on Belmont Circle, off Kenton Lane, has been completely cordoned off with police tape followed an alleged rape.
Witnesses report that the presence of forensic experts at the scene earlier this afternoon (June 17).
The subway passes under Kenton Lane and has been blocked off by police for a number of hours now.
Harrow Online approached the Metropolitan Police for an official statement. They provided the following:
Police statement on alleged rape in Harrow
“Police are investigating an allegation of rape in Harrow.
“Officers were called at around 17:00hrs on Friday, 16 June after a woman alleged that she was approached by a man unknown to her and raped in an underpass under Kenton Lane.
“The suspect is described as eastern European, possibly Romanian, aged around mid-20s, approx. 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, with broad shoulders. He had short black hair and no beard.
“He was wearing a dark vest, black jogging bottoms and red and black flip flops.
“There have no arrests at this early stage. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.
